Observe the night sky through the telescope at Merrimack College's Mendel Observatory. The telescope will be trained on an object and everyone in the group will have a chance to look through the eyepiece. The process will be repeated on as many objects as time allows. The event will end on or before 10:00pm.
Rain or extreme heat cancels the event, because the dome can get very hot in the summer.
Meet in the lobby area near the stairs/elevator on the 3rd floor of the Mendel Science Center at Merrimack College. Space is limited to 15 people and the event is suitable for children ages 6 & up, accompanied by an adult.
The Mendel Observatory at Merrimack College is open to the public on Wednesday evenings, and the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club (NSAAC) posts updates on their Facebook page.
