Going Vegan or Vegetarian: Dietary Choices to Help the Planet

dietary choices to help save the planet
Tuesday, April 11, 2023 - 7:00pm

Esteemed nutritionist Nancy Clark will discuss the benefits of reducing meat in the everyday diet and the importance of being an informed vegan or vegetarian to be active and healthy.

Did you know that researchers have found that vegans have the smallest carbon footprint, generating about a 40% percent smaller volume of greenhouse gases than meat-eaters do? But if you are a meat-enjoyer, there are other ways to choose a sustainable diet. Join us as we host respected sports nutritionist Nancy Clark MS RD CSSD, author of Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook (www.NancyClarkRD.com). She will discuss the health and sustainability benefits of vegan and vegetarian diets, as well as offer tips for meat eaters so they can also contribute to planetary health.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT WEST PARISH CHURCH, ANDOVER

This program is a collaboration between Memorial Hall Library and the Spade and Trowel Garden Club.
