Jumpstart Your Family History Research

Bruce Earnley
Wednesday, October 23, 2024 - 7:00pm

Join Bruce Earnley for a beginner genealogy class.

Researching your family’s history is an open-ended project that deepens your understanding of who you are and how your ancestors got you here. The project will be challenging, sometimes exciting, sometimes frustrating, but it should always be engaging and fun.

This class reviews time-tested strategies for tracing and documenting your ancestry including building your family tree with existing information, evaluating and using online sources, and keeping your research organized.

Prior to the class, registrants will receive handouts that contain a class outline, recommended strategies and sources, some standard forms for collecting information, and an invitation to take a few useful steps before the class meets to personalize and enrich your class experience.

Bruce Earnley is a long-time Andover resident and life-long genealogist.  Bruce has successfully completed Boston University's certificate program in genealogical research.

Space is limited and registration is required. Registration is required at least five days prior to the start of class to ensure registrants have time to prepare.
