The COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it many challenges, including finding fresh food. If you want to explore local food options and support local farmers, Northeast Harvest is a 'buy local' program supported by the Essex Agricultural Society, the organizers of the Topsfield Fair. They have created an extensive list of farms in Middlesex and Essex counties, along with a Local Food Guide. Their Farm Map lets you see nearby farms and what they sell. There is a separate list of farms offering curbside pickup and other options during the pandemic. It's a great way to plug into and support the network of people near us who are growing food and flowers, making cheese and gathering honey, and raising cattle and poultry.
