December Artist of the Month

Elizabeth Levine Wandelmaier has a BFA with Honors in Communications Design from Pratt Institute. She was an award-wining graphic designer in New York City. Staff positions included Doubleday & Co. and Dow Jones & Co. Inc.

Now Elizabeth concentrates on painting. She is inspired by nature, especially trees, sky, and water. A new resident to Andover, Elizabeth is inspired by the Merrimack River.

Color is the hallmark of her work.

A past member of Salute to Women in the Arts (N.J.), Elizabeth is a two-time winner in Contemporary Oils and Acrylics in Bergen County’s NJ Art in the Park. She is also a two-time winner of Best-in-Show, Crafts, in the Bergen Museum’s Arts and Crafts Festival, for original handmade jewelry.

Elizabeth has had solo painting shows in New Jersey at the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center, numerous public libraries, and the Atrium Gallery.

Elizabeth wrote Rose’s Colors, the inspiring story of how she and her family came to love and accept their child with multiple disabilities.
