Teacher Resources

Memorial Hall Library has two, full-time teen services librarians who provide collections, programming, and more services for tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12. We strive to help the students of Andover by assisting with research questions, providing materials and online resources that support school curriculum, and copies of summer reading titles, in addition to our collections for independent reading.

The Teen Room is staffed by Teen Services Librarians and teen aide staff Mondays through Thursdays from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Fridays from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm, and weekends from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The Teen Room is committed to supporting teachers and their students and can provide the following services upon request:

  • Help students get library cards
  • Visit classrooms virtually or in person to:
    • present new and recommended books
    • teach students about ebooks and e-audiobooks and how to access them
    • help with research and online resource access
  • Prepare resource lists or carts of books at MHL
  • Host a class at the library for help with a project
  • Library tours
  • Book Bags 2 Go delivered to Doherty, West, and Wood Hill middle schools

Please give us at least one week of notice for school and library visits, as well as very involved requests. The best way to contact the Teen Room is via ya@mhl.org.
