The Children’s Room winter program season officially starts on Tuesday January 20th and runs through Saturday March 14th! Our weekly storytimes and monthly music/craft programs for ages 0-5 years will be back, along with some new programs, including:
- Cuentos y Canciones: A monthly bilingual storytime for ages 2-5 years – listen to stories in English and Spanish!
- Garden Storytime: A monthly garden-themed storytime for ages 3-5 years with our friends from the Andover Garden Club!
- Music Makers: A monthly music program for ages 2-5 years where they can sign up to make some music!
- Music with Rockabye Beats & Peter Sheridan: Two monthly drop-in music programs for ages 0-5 years, sponsored by the Friends of MHL!
For school-age kids, weekly afterschool programs like Pokémon Club and LEGO Club will be back, as well as other programs, including:
- Across the USA: A monthly afterschool program for ages 5-8 years to listen to a story about a US state and do an activity about it after!
- Paws & Tales: Independent readers can sign up to practice their read aloud skills with therapy dog Rufus in a private 15-minute session!
- Dungeons & Dragons: Kids in grades K-2 and grades 3-5 can sign up to learn how to play the popular storytelling game D&D in a format customized for kids and beginners!
- Pokémon Club: Kids can drop in weekly to trade cards or learn how to battle with other fans! Please note that kids under 10 years old will need an adult to stay with them during the program.
