Winter Reading Club 2024
January 13 to February 26, 2024 is Winter Reading Club! The colder months are a perfect time to get cozy with a book so we are hoping patrons will read and log their minutes read!
2024 Alex Award Winners
This year's Alex Award winners have been announced. The Alex Awards go to adult books that appeal to teen readers. This year, MHL teen services librarian Anna was on the Alex committee to choose these titles! These books are powerful, engaging reads for both teens and adults, so give one (or more) a try!
2024 Solar Eclipse
Did you enjoy seeing the partial solar eclipse in 2017? You're in luck because Andover is in a great geographical location to experience a solar eclipse of about 92% totality on Monday, April 8! Memorial Hall Library will be having an eclipse party starting at 3:00 pm outside of the library's back patio to view this exciting astronomical event. We will have a device called a Sunspotter which provides indirect viewing of the sun and is great for kids! See more information on our calendar.
Artist of the Month: February 2024 – WATERCOLORS
Hi There! I wanted to thank you for taking the time to view some of my paintings. Thanks to Memorial Hall Library for allowing me to display my art work. Watercolor painting was something I always enjoyed. Fifty years ago, I took a certificate art program in Boston but never found time to pursue my interest in watercolor painting until the pandemic. I wanted to use what talents God had given me, so I went out and bought paper, paints, and brushes, and started to paint. Like I say, it’s never too late! I paint a picture a week.
