Martha Wells' popular Murderbot book series is now a TV series on Apple TV! If you haven't read these books about a disenchanted security robot who names itself "Murderbot" and its trials and travails protecting its hapless humans, you're in for a treat. If you have read them, you may be looking for some similar new titles. Whether you like the found family of the PresAux team, Murderbot's desire to watch media all day, or general discussions of artificial intelligence and corporate malfeasance, you are sure to find something you enjoy in the following books.
New Chinese Books for May 2025
Did you know that we have books in Chinese for all ages? Chinese is one of the world languages that we buy popular titles for readers of all ages! The Chinese books are located on the top floor of the building (Level 2) along with Russian and Spanish titles.
Winter Reading Challenge BINGO 2025
Kick off 2025 with a Winter Reading Challenge! From January 1 to February 28, 2025 Memorial Hall Library will be doing a Winter Reading Challenge BINGO! The board encourages patrons to try new things in their reading habits and learn more about what Memorial Hall Library has to offer. The colder months are a perfect time to get cozy with books and activities.
2024 Staff Favorites
2024 was a great year for books! Our staff has been reading, listening, and watching to books and more all year and are ready to give our recommendations. Whether you're looking for one of the hottest hold list titles of the year, like Kristin Hannah's The Women, or something a little more off the beaten path like Wenyan Lu's The Funeral Cryer, our list of staff favorites should have something for everyone. 2024 Solar Eclipse
Did you enjoy seeing the partial solar eclipse in 2017? You're in luck because Andover is in a great geographical location to experience a solar eclipse of about 92% totality on Monday, April 8! Memorial Hall Library will be having an eclipse party starting at 3:00 pm outside of the library's back patio to view this exciting astronomical event. We will have a device called a Sunspotter which provides indirect viewing of the sun and is great for kids! See more information on our calendar.
