Earth's Mightiest Avenger by Kelly Sue DeConnick
Kelly Sue DeConnick's run of Captain Marvel began in 2012 and rekindled interest in the character. The look of the Captain Marvel movie seems to be drawn heavily on DeConnick's comics, including the costume redesign that Jamie McKelvie created for these comics.
