The Library has online access to the Boston Globe and Boston Metropolitan News, a database compiling articles and transcripts from more than 200 news sources covering the Greater Boston area.
The Library currently subscribes to the following local newspapers:
- Andover Townsman (retained in paper format for 1 year plus the current year, then on microfilm)
- Boston Globe (retained in paper for 2 months plus current, also have an online subscription)
- Boston Herald (retained in paper for 2 months plus current, also have an online subscription)
- Eagle Tribune (retained in paper for 3 months or until microfilm arrives)
- Lowell Sun (retain current issue, Sunday, only)
The following newspapers are available on microfilm:
- Andover Advertiser (newspaper) 1853-1881
- Lawrence American (newspaper) 1875 -1907
- (Andover) Townsman (newspaper) 1887 -
