Explore World War One with three upcoming events.

On Wednesday, April 4 at 6:00pm, the library is hosting a screening of the original version of All Quiet on the Western Front in Memorial Hall. Former educator, Kathleen Dolan will introduce the film, and on Sunday, April 8 at 2:00pm, she will lead a discussion of the novel and selected poetry that emerged from the experiences of soldiers in WWI. The discussion of Richard Rubin's book, Back Over There, has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 5 at 7:00pm in the Activity Room. Lawrence City Councilor, Marc Laplante, will share his journey researching WWI veterans, and lead a discussion of Rubin's book. Sign up for the events at www.mhl.org/calendar.
