Memorial Hall Library

Film to digital converter

What is it?

This is a Wolverine Film2digital MovieMaker. After mounting a 3" or 5" reel and inserting a memory card, the device will scan the film frame by frame to produce an MP4 video file at 720P resolution and a playback rate of 30 frames per second.

What is included?

The case includes the Film2digital MovieMaker, a power adapter, USB and TV-Out cables, reel adapters, a brush for cleaning, and a user manual.

How does it work?

This device lets you digitize 8mm and Super 8 film to MPEG-4 video files at 720P. It does not digitize the audio track that some Super 8 film has. The manual can be found online at https://www.wolverinedata.com/assets/downloads/MM100_V3.pdf.
