Japanese Manga from MHL

If you're familiar with manga--the small-sized comics originally published in Japanese--you probably know it can be hard to keep up with all of the issues of long-running series. Since there are so many different manga series, MHL can't order all of them. Instead, we've chosen a range of popular titles that we subscribe to from our book vendor, meaning we automatically get the newest volumes as they're released in the US. Here's a list of our current ongoing manga subscriptions. You can count on us owning the latest volumes in these series! (We also own some older manga series that are completed, meaning new volumes are no longer coming out.)

If you're looking for other manga series, we may be able to request them from other MVLC libraries or using the Commonwealth Catalog to borrow from other libraries in the state. Please reach out to us by email at ya@mhl.org if you'd like help finding other manga series.
