Winter Reading Club 2018

Winter Reading Club

Looking for something cozy and fun to do this winter? Get smitten with books in our Winter Reading Club (WRC)! Similar to our Summer Reading program, the WRC is meant to encourage patrons of all ages to read and visit the library during the month of December. The WRC is designed to be more casual than the SRC, since we know that December is a busy time. (Plus, winter break is shorter than summer vacation, so there's much less "summer slide" for students!) But it's still a great time to have fun and encourage literacy.

From December 1st to January 2nd, pick up a Winter Reading  bingo board at the Children's, Teen, and Reference desks and fill out a row in any direction to win a free book. Patrons who complete the entire sheet will be entered into the drawing to win our grand prize: a gift card to Andover Bookstore! The bingo board is for all ages and includes activities that younger children can do with parents as well as teens and adults on their own.

If you'd like some suggestions on what to read this month, take a look at these recommendation lists from our staff for all ages:

If you'd like even more suggestions feel free to ask a staff member, request a personalized reading list, or see our montthly recommendation newsletters.

Stay warm and happy reading!
