Announcing a new service for tweens and teens!

The Teen Room would like to announce a new service for tween and teen readers in grades 6 through 12: Teen Book Bags! Because of COVID safety precautions, we have limited capacity for visiting and browsing our collections so we wanted to come up with a fun way to get awesome books to readers.

Our Teen Book Bags are curated, personalized book bags with 3 - 5 library books that we think you might enjoy as well as some fun prizes. After a successful pilot of this program in the fall, we’re excited to offer our Winter Book Bag.

Here’s how to sign up for a bag:

  1. Visit the Teen Book Bag page and fill out the form to tell us what kind of books you like.
  2. Teen Services Librarians Anna and Renata will work on creating a bag with titles we think you will enjoy.
  3. We will contact you to schedule a time to pick up the bags. You can pick up curbside or in person in the Teen Room.
  4. Once you pick up the bags, you can enjoy the library books and return them in the book drop when you are done. You don’t have to return the bag and you can keep all of the non-book prizes!
  5. Finally, give us feedback on the books you’ve received here.

For questions about this service, please contact Anna and Renata at ya@mhl.org or 978-623-8432.
