Have questions about social media?

Do you ever feel in the dark when it comes to social media?  Maybe you understand Facebook and YouTube, but you’re less sure about Twitter or Vine or Skype.  GCFLearnFree.org is the place to go.  The “lessons” really are free.  They don’t take a lot of time to go through and are presented in a very clear manner.  Who knows, you may even decide to start a blog after clicking through their “Blog Basics.”

What is GCFLearnFree.org?  They’re a program of the Goodwill Community Foundation and Goodwill Industries.  Over the past 10 years they’ve helped people around the world “learn the essential skills they need to live and work in the 21st century.”  They have tutorials on more than 125 topics, from Microsoft Office products like Word & Excel to Money Basics to Grammar.

GCFLearnFree.org/socialmedia is featured in a list of useful, fun and informative websites compiled by MHL librarians.  Go to Internet links under Research & Learning to see what else is listed.
