Art Journaling: The Basics Virtual Workshop

Looking for a creative outlet in the new year? A way to express your thoughts and feelings that goes beyond written journaling? In this interactive class, you will learn techniques on combining your written work with simple art techniques to help you establish an art journaling practice of your own. You will create a “paper bag” journal and several spreads throughout the evening using limited supplies that you should have on hand.

Supplies:
Use only what you have…no need to go and purchase!
A paper bag
A stack of scrap paper/magazine pages
A stack of junk mail
A paper punch
A piece of ribbon or string
Something to add color (paint, watercolors, colored pencils, markers, and/or crayons)
Sharpies/black markers in varying sizes
Glue
Scissors
Embellishments (only if you have them), i.e. decorative tapes, ribbon, stickers, tissue paper, etc.

Prior to launching her coaching practice, Jennessa worked as a solopreneur in corporate and nonprofit event planning where she was recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the top 25 Event Management firms in the Boston area for more than 15 years. Jennessa earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Iowa State University's College of Design and an MBA from Northeastern University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society - the highest honor a business student can receive.
