Internationally acclaimed pianist and Andover resident, Eyran Katsenelenbogen is proud to celebrate the anticipated release of his new CD, Outstandards. A distant relative of composer Felix Mendelssohn, Eyran was born in 1965 in Israel. He moved to the United States in 1993 to pursue his musical studies at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Since his graduation, he has been teaching at NEC’s Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education. He has performed throughout the world, including in China, Russia, Europe and Israel. His CDs have garnered rave reviews from noted jazz publications, such as All About Jazz. Since 1989, Eyran has been working on his book, a philosophical diary titled One Time. He often enjoys spending introspective writing time in the silent study area on the second floor of MHL.
